CERTIFICATIONS
While A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First and C1 Advanced assess proficiency in General English, the examinations for Schools are specifically designed for school-age learners. They certify the same language proficiency levels, but feature topics and contexts that are more relevant to students. Many secondary schools include these qualifications as part of their educational programmes, allowing students to gain an internationally recognised certification of their English language skills. Depending on the regulations of each institution, some universities may also award academic credits or exempt successful candidates from internal language proficiency requirements.
Linguaskill is an online only English language certification exam recognized internationally. Thanks to its adaptive testing technology, it provides a fast, accurate, and reliable assessment of candidates' language proficiency, certifying levels ranging from B1 to C2 of the CEFR. The exam is available in two versions: Linguaskill, designed to assess general English language proficiency, and Linguaskill Business, which measures the language skills required in business and professional contexts.
The IELTS Academic test is widely accepted by universities in Italy and around the world as proof of English language proficiency for admission, participation in international programmes, and, in some cases, the awarding of academic credits. IELTS is a score-based qualification, with results reported on a band scale from 1 to 9. Test results are generally considered valid for two years, as they reflect the candidate's level of English proficiency at the time the examination is taken.
OUR TEACHERS
Our English teachers have specific experience in preparing candidates for international language certifications and hold professional qualifications recognised by Cambridge English, such as CELTA and DELTA. They understand the importance of gradually becoming familiar with the exam format and provide targeted practice activities throughout the entire training programme. Particular attention is devoted to developing communication skills, which are essential for successfully completing any language examination.
Languages at Work guarantees small class sizes (maximum eight students) to optimise learning time and results. Course duration can be customised according to individual needs and each participant’s starting language level.
All participants take a written and oral placement test (free of charge and with no obligation) to ensure homogeneous groups and an effective learning experience.
Lessons take place from Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options, including lunchtime sessions.
